Mission Statement
The mission of the Collin County Gay and Lesbian Alliance is to advocate equal civil rights, achieve full participation in society and promote dignity and respect for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered individuals by providing education, political awareness and social interaction.
Our organization is open to anyone who is looking for political and/or social events/activism in Collin County that pertain to the GLBT Community. Join the E-mail group to start getting involved, or just show-up to any meeting, political or social events.
Collin County includes the following cities and towns inside its boundaries: Allen, Anna, Blue Ridge, Carrollton (in part), Celina, Copeville, Dallas (in part), Fairview, Farmersville, Frisco, Garland (in part), Josephine, Lavon, Lowry Crossing, Lucas, McKinney, Melissa, Murphy, Nevada, New Hope, Parker, Plano, Princeton, Prosper, Richardson (in part), Royse City, Sachse (in part), Saint Paul, Westminster, Weston, Wylie.

Objectives
Advocating LGBT Needs to Local Governments and Businesses
- Developing relationships with elected officials of Collin County
- Meeting with elected officials to develop productive partnership opportunities
- Educating officials on needs of LGBT community
- Educating officials on developing appropriate inclusive policies
- Advocating for those who have felt discrimination
- Continuing to add businesses that offer inclusive benefits to the non-discrimination list
- Developing a list of LGBT friendly businesses in Collin County
Educating General Collin County Community
- Promoting inclusive policies and attitudes in the press
- Press releases on CCGLA activities and points of view
- Promoting non-discriminatory attitudes in letters to the editor
- Community Service activities to lend a hand to Collin County community
- Collecting canned goods and toiletries for Collin County charities
- Introducing Youth First Texas to Collin County
Building a strong, vibrant community
- Continuing activities to network members of the Collin County LGBT community
